4 HOT DJ MIXES TO KICKSTART YOUR WEEKEND

 With Miller Genuine Draft

The weekend is here, at last! Get into the weekend mindset with four of our favourite new mixes on Mixcloud…

SATOSHI OTSUKI ‘UNDERGROUND SOUNDS OF JAPAN’

Pioneer DJ Radio’s ‘Underground Sounds’ series touches down in Japan for a sixty-minute, hypnotic journey through the mind of Satoshi Otsuki. The rolling, tech house mix which features cuts from Livio, Martinez and Jak Michaels, demonstrates Otsuki’s ability to lock into the groove.

DANNY RAMPLING ‘FOREVER ACID HOUSE’

Danny Rampling was there at the start of the acid house movement in the UK. His iconic club night, Shoom, was the incubator for the rhythms and sounds that are ingrained in the music we love today. Fast-forward to 2016 and acid house is resurgent, as demonstrated by this wonderful mix by the house legend.

TIMO GARCIA ‘BMC MIXCAST SERIES’

Brighton resident, Timo Garcia, drops a slick house mix ahead of this year’s Brighton Music Conference (basically the UK’s answer to ADE). The mix opens with an accapella of Marshall Jefferson’s ‘Lock The Doors’ and climaxes with the Rhythm Masters mix of the same track. This is upfront house at its best from a man who knows!

CITIZENN ‘ELECTRIC IBIZA 002’

DJ Mag favourite, Citizenn, recently added another ‘n’ to the end of his name, so his fans can find him on Google. The bumping house DJ certainly won’t stay hidden if he keeps releasing sets like this one. Its full throttle, four-to-the-floor, stuff from the start. Turn it up!
