Award-winning play 'We Are Ian', which explores the early days of the acid house revolution in Manchester, will return to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this weekend.

'We Are Ian' will run for five dates during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the Kingdome beginning 24th August.

The play focusses on the acid house revolution in Manchester during the 80s, which saw a acid house explosion at clubs like The Haçienda.

Set in 1989, the play is narrated by former raver Ian (played by Nora Alexander) and explores the music and the political climate during Margaret Thatcher's divisive era.

'We Are Ian' received rave reviews during its debut last year and is being brought back to the Fringe by popular demand.

DJ Mag's Carl Loben recently sat down with acid house evangelist Mr C talk about the music's impact on club culture which is still being felt today.
