Adidas' Roland TR-808-inspired sneakers look sick and play beats

Sonic shoes? Yes please!

Adidas has created their own fashionable ode to iconic drum machine, the Roland TR-808, releasing a brand-new trainer inspired by the classic piece of production kit.

A prototype for Mi Adidas by Neely & Daughters, the new kicks not only look fierce but can also generate sound, staying true to the design's drum machine roots.

According to Adidas: "The shoes are equipped with volume control and six different pre-programmed settings so you can recreate your favorite scenes from Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo in your mom and dad’s kitchen on a broke down cardboard box from Costco."

The official name for the new design is Mi Adidas TR-808 (Disturbing the Peace) and there's no word yet on where you can buy them or — more importantly — how much they'll cost.
