The exclusive vinyl will feature a listening notes booklet and art print

Air release 25-anniversary vinyl of Moon Safari

Air have announced a 25th-anniversary vinyl edition of their critically acclaimed  debut album ‘Moon Safari’.

The reissue will be pressed exclusively on 180g “Sea of Tranquility” coloured vinyl, and will feature a listening notes booklet by Sophie Frances Kemp, as well as an art print by Mike Mills.

The French duo consisting of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel released ‘Moon Safari’ in 1998. With an emphasis on melody and mood, the dreamy LP became a ubiquitous soundtrack by the turn of the century, and continues to inspire artists in electronic music to this day. The release of the ‘Moon Safari’ 25th-anniversary vinyl edition will be available to order via VinylMePlease on 1 February 2023.

The news follows a number of other artists who have released anniversary editions over vinyl in recent years.  Last year, Wu-Tang Clan released a 25th-anniversary vinyl edition of their second studio album ‘Forever’. High Contrast released the 20th-anniversary vinyl edition of ‘True Colours’, and The Streets put out a 20th-anniversary vinyl of ‘Orignal Pirate Material
