Apple Music extends free trial to four months for new subscribers

The streaming wars continue

Apple Music have extended their free trial period for new users.

In a move similiar to Spotify, whereby the streaming giant changed its 30-day trial period to three months, Apple Music have joined forces with LivingSocial to increase their gratuitous period to four months.

In contrast to Spotify, though, the extended trial period doesn't just require an Apple Music subscription. The four-month free trial will require a sign up to app LivingSocial, and 25,000 of the limited offers have already been redeemed. Previous subscribers to LivingSocial will get one month free.

Earlier this month, Apple Music launched a new analytics tool for artists.

A forthcoming Apple iOS13 update may enable Spotify control through Siri. The function was previously only available for Apple Music.
