Iconic Spider to light up South Korea, Taiwan and Australia this autumn...

Acadia Spectactular and its 50-tonne mechanical Spider is heading to Asia and Australia this autumn having wowed crowds in Bangkok, Miami and Glastonbury this year already.

The Spider has now been packed up for another 9000 mile voyage across the world to break new ground and explore new countries.

On Friday 2nd September to Saturday 3rd September, Arcadia Korea will see Seoul’s historic Olympic Stadium transformed into an immersive world of mechanical creatures, flying aliens, and giant fireballs.

The Spider then moves to Taiwan on Saturday October 9th to the lush surroundings of Taipei’s Riverside Park, with the city’s futuristic skyline offering the perfect backdrop for the awe-inspiring spectacle.

The final event of 2016 will see Arcadia head to Australia to take over the gorgeous Elizabeth Quay in Perth on from Wednesday 23rd November through to Sunday 27th November.

All three autumn events will feature ‘The Landing’ – the opening chapter in Arcadia’s trilogy of shows – complemented by a heavyweight line-up drawn from the world’s most dynamic electronic musicians.

“It’s been an amazing year and we’re really proud to have the opportunity to take Arcadia into new countries and cultures," explains one of the founders Pipa Rush. "Seeing the Spider in so many new settings surrounded by people from so many different backgrounds is going to be incredibly special.”
