Ariel Zetina announces new EP, ‘MUAs At The End Of The World’, on femme culture

It’s inspired by ‘the rhythms of putting on makeup'

Chicago’s Ariel Zetina has announced a new EP to be released on femme culture.

‘MUAs At The End Of The World’ lands on the DJ Mag Best Of British 2018 breakthrough label winner on 21st February.

The Smartbar resident says the EP “features five new tracks stemmed from the rhythms of putting on makeup and the perception of makeup as armor, barrier, stealth”.

She continues to say it’s about “makeup as a method for passing for trans women (and the politics of what it means to pass for a cis woman in general)."

The release follows ‘Organism’ and ‘Shell’, two EPs that Aerial released in 2019. DJ Mag premiered ‘Valentzetina’ from her ‘Shell’ EP last year.
