Armin van Buuren joined Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on stage at Ushuaia in Ibiza on Tuesday night, with the rare and exclusive back to back show the sort of thing EDM dreams are made of.
The performance was unannounced, with the packed super club erupting into a mad house at the sight of the three big hitters launching into a set together. This isn’t the first time the guys have opted to collaborate live, though- a performance in December 2015 resulted in equal measures of praise and outrage, with van Buuren’s legions of trance disciples apparently upset at his decision to join two of the most prominent names in the EDM scene.
Things were better received this time round, at least by those lucky enough to catch the Ibiza set for themselves, with footage subsequently tweeted out by the Ushuaia Beach Hotel itself, and embedded by us below, which isn’t surprising given the combined profiles of those involved. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike won DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll in 2015, and ranked 2nd last year. Meanwhile, van Buuren, whose recent Tomorrowland performance also hit our news pages, has finished within the top five a staggering 14 consecutive times, claiming 4th overall when 2016’s list was published.
