THE AVALANCHES CANCEL EUROPEAN SHOWS AFTER MEDICAL CONCERNS

The Avalanches' return to the stage will have to wait...

The Avalanches have cancelled all of their upcoming European festival shows due to medical advice.

The Australian outfit explained the news via their Facebook page on Sunday, after band member Tony Di Blasi was advised by doctors against international travels for the next few months.

The shock news means fans will have to wait a little bit longer to finally see the The Avalanches perform material from their new album, 'Wildflower' — the band's first LP in 16 years.

“So with great disappointment we have had to postpone some forthcoming festival appearances in Europe,” a post on the band’s facebook page reads. “Thanks to everyone worldwide who has made Wildflower such a success, and stay tuned for rescheduled and new live dates soon.

“Big Love, The Avalanches.”

Everyone at DJ Mag wishes Tony Di Blasi a speedy recovery.
