Avicii confirms two EPs and a full album are set to follow ‘Avīci’

Avicii has confirmed that two EPs are set to follow his ‘Avīci’ release, with the third making up his full new album.

The Swedish EDM star revealed the news in a new interview on BBC Radio 1 with Pete Tong. You can listen to the chat below.

Avicii didn’t confirm the dates the new releases would land but he did reveal he is “getting back into” DJing.

He revealed that despite retiring from touring he still has decks, and has started using them again after he “couldn’t look at them” following his final shows.

Avicii added that he had wondered about returning to playing shows when he had seen billboards of other major artists in LA but wants to feel “normal” before making any decision.

His six-track ‘Avīci’ EP was released last week, featuring collaborations with Rita Ora, AlunaGeorge, Billy Raffoul, Vargas & Lagola and Sandro Cavazza.

Since taking a break from touring, the Swedish producer has been in the studio with a host of different writers working on new solo material, whilst also doing some travelling around Peru.

He's also been in the studio with Nile Rodgers working on Chic's comeback album, which is expected to be released early next year.
