AVICII ON FINAL SHOW: ‘FAR FROM MY LAST DAYS IN MUSIC’

The Swedish producer says he’s made the right decision...

Avicii played his final live show at Ushuaïa Ibiza on Sunday (28th August), after announcing that he would retire from touring in a lengthy post on his website in March.

Yesterday, he opened up about his final live performance on Instagram, saying this is “far from my last days in the world of music”.

The post went on to say, “Creating music is what makes me happy and I have gotten to know so many great people in my days of touring, seen so many amazing places and created endless good memories. The decision I made might seem odd to some but everyone is different and for me this was the right one.”

Avicii originally said that he would honour all dates of his 2016 tour before retiring, but was forced to cancel his 2016 Las Vegas residency due to “personal reasons” in May.

Before that news, Avicii also revealed that he is working on a new album in April, which the Swedish producer said will consist of unreleased songs produced over the course of his career.
