‘Avicii: True Stories’ gets official release date: WATCH

Avicii’s much-anticipated ‘True Stories’ documentary will debut at select theatres worldwide on 26th October. The showings will be followed by a 30-minute concert film of Avicii’s 26th August (2016) Ibiza set, currently his final live show.

The work of Levan Tsikurishvili, the film traces the unvarnished truth behind the success of the Grammy-nominated producer, DJ and songwriter born Tim Bergling. Tsikurishvili followed Avicii for over four years, capturing his beginnings, the successes, and subsequent struggles with his physical and mental health.

"I wanted to do a brutally honest film about Tim as a person and not only about Avicii. Everybody knows Avicii but very few people know Tim. I think this documentary really shows Tim’s struggle and strength of character. Being a worldwide superstar artist is not as easy as it looks on Instagram”, Tsikurishvili says via press release.

The film features appearances by Chris Martin, David Guetta, Wyclef Jean and Chic’s Nile Rodgers, who has been key in the rebirth of Avicii’s recording career.
