The Avicii video game has gone on sale globally today

AVICII Invector is out now

A new video game celebrating the life and work of the late Avicii has been released today.

Announced in October, the game, entitled AVICII Invector, sees players heading off on an intergalactic journey, trying to hit notes as they race through various landscapes. It comes with both solo and multiplayer options, and players are given the choice of three difficulty levels. The game also features 25 of the late artist's tracks including 'Levels', 'Without You', and 'Lay Me Down'.

Avicii INVECTOR is available digitally on XBOX One and PC, along with a re-launch for Playstation 4, and in physical formats. 25% of the profits from the sale of the game will go to the Tim Bergling Foundation, the charity set up in his honour by his parents with a goal to support those working within mental health and suicide prevention.

A one-off tribute concert in aid of mental health awareness took place in Stockholm last week, and was broadcast globally. Organised by the Tim Bergling Foundation, 19 of Avicii's collaborators teamed up with a 30-piece band for the performance.

The tribute concert version of Avicii's 'Fades Away' was officially released this week.
