AXWELL REVEALS SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA REFORMATION, DELETES POST

The trio haven’t performed together since 2013...

UPDATE: Axwell has since tweeted “doesn’t take much more than a wise guy with photoshop (sic) to start a rumour,” suggesting that he never shared the post in the image below.

Axwell has hinted that Swedish House Mafia are set to reform in a post on Twitter that has since been deleted.

In the tweet, which you can see a screenshot of below, Axwell stated, “The countdown to the new era has begun. Never is too late (sic) to get back on track,” alongside the date Sunday 26th March 2017 – the Sunday of next year’s Ultra Music Festival.

It isn’t the first time Axwell has hinted that the trio – which is made up of the Axtone label boss, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso – will reform as Swedish House Mafia, as he suggested the group might get back together in an interview on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show last year.

The trio haven’t performed together since 2013. Since then Steve Angello has focused on his solo work and label, while Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso have continued to work together as Axwell Λ Ingrosso.
