Beastie Boys announce new photo book with Spike Jonze

The book contains hundreds of images from the group's career

Beastie Boys will be the subject of a new book from Spike Jonze.

The Oscar-winning director, who has a long-standing partnership with the hip-hop outfit, will release his first photography book, Beastie Boys, later this year.

Slated for release on the 17th March, the book features hundreds of photos taken by Jonze throughout the career of the group, with Beastie Boys' Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz contributing to the project.

In 2018, Beastie Boys Book was released. Following the group’s nearly-40-year evolution from NYC hardcore punk band to record-breaking hip-hop trailblazers, the 592-page memoir features anecdotes, rare photos, original illustrations, mixtape playlists and more, as well as contributions from friends and collaborators like Wes Anderson, the aforementioned Spike Jonze, Amy Poehler and others.

Last year, 'Paul’s Boutique', 'Ill Communication', 'the Root Down' EP and 'To The 5 Boroughs' saw a reissue on coloured vinyl.

Beastie Boys by Spike Jonze is available to pre-order here.
