Beatport and DJCity's new playlist store is now live

The long-awaited new 'playlist-driven store' is now in beta

Beatport and DJCity's new collaboration Beatsource has now entered public beta. DJCity – a long-running promo service for DJs – and Beatport say the new store is designed to provide DJs with the best music to play at any event, focussing on playlists rather than genres. Beatsource focusses on 'open-format DJs', i.e. those who play multiple genres in one night, and playlists are curated both by the Beatsource team and guest curators, including Andrew Ortiz aka DJ Drew of 102.7 KIIS-FM, Alaric Fuller aka DJ Majestik of 97.1 AMP Radio LA & FireLane, James Grey aka DJames of Capital XTRA, and Daniel 'DC' Calderon, Head Of Latin Music Programming at TuneIn.

"Beatport has long been the home for the global DJ community, but now we have created a single destination for all the great open-format DJs around the world,'' commented Robb McDaniels, CEO of Beatport. The download service is part of three new services from Beatport including the aforementioned LINK and a new PROMO service with subscription tier options for pro DJs, which is expected to launch in 2020.
