Berlin's CTM Festival announces collaboration with Nyege Nyege for 2020

MC Yallah, Hibotep, DJ Diaki and Debmaster will play at the 10-day event 

Berlin's CTM Festival has announced a collaboration with Ugandan label and collective Nyege Nyege.

The ten-day event, whose 2020 theme is liminal, will feature sets from Nyege Nyege artists including Hibotep, DJ Diaki, Duma, DJ Scotch Egg & Khanja, Don Zilla, MC Yallah & Debmaster.

There will also be a collaborative performance from Gabber Modus Operandi and the Nakibembe Xylophone Troupe from Uganda.

The festival's latest line-up announcement also includes Lafawndah, Sicaria Sound, Emptyset and Andy Stott. 

Earlier this year, Nyege Nyege Tapes released a compilation exploring the history of electric acholi, while the label's Hakuna Kulala offshoot also recently teamed up with Shanghai-based label SVBKVLT for a pair of releases featuring Slikback, Hyph11E, 33EMYBW, and more.

CTM takes place from January 24th to February 2nd across multiple venues in the city including Berghain, Kunstquartier Bethanien and HAU Hebbel am Ufer.
