BLACK SPUMA MAKE THEIR INTERNATIONAL FEEL DEBUT WITH 'HYPE AROUND'

Tuff City Kids's Phillip Lauer & Slow Motion's Fabrizio Mammarella team up!

Mark Barrott’s International Feel label is responsible for much of the renewed interested in Balearic over the last few years. Since Barrott started the label in '09 he’s moved over to the White Isle itself and released three volumes of his ‘Sketches From An Island’ LPs which, true to their name, have captured the soundscape of his adopted home.

Aside from Barrott’s own productions, the label has released records by the likes of DJ Harvey, José Padilla and Matt Edwards. International Feel’s latest release sees duo Black Spuma make their debut, a collaboration between two established producers Fabrizio Mammarella and Phillip Lauer. Lauer is one half of Tuff City Kids together with Gerd Janson and released his second solo album ‘Borndom’ on Permanent Vacation earlier this year. Mammarella, meanwhile, manages Italo-German label Slow Motion.

The two have joined forces to create an EP that merges elements of modern Italo, house and Balearic. We’re excited to be able to premiere ‘Hype Around’, the first track from ‘Oasi’. A glorious blend of funky house, synth washes and steel pan melodies, ‘Hype Around’ has us dreaming of warmer climes.

'Oasi' is out 2nd October, listen to 'Hype Around' below.
