Brian Eno, Nile Rodgers, Debit, more contribute to Earth Day charity compilation
Martyn, Tom VR and Hannah Peel are among the many artists to have contributed tracks
Brian Eno, Nile Rodgers, Debit, and many more artists have donated tracks to a new charity compilation for Earth Day (22nd April).
With Martyn, Tom VR, and Hannah Peel also featured, over 100 artists in total have contributed to the 'EarthPercent x Earth Day' project, which will be available to purchase on Bandcamp only for the next few weeks. All funds raised will go towards EarthPercent-run initiatives made up of grants later this year.
Founded by Brian Eno in 2021, EarthPercent is a climate change initiative that aims to steer businesses and artists in the music industry towards donating to the most impactful organisations addressing the climate emergency. They aim to raise $100 million from the industry collectively by 2030. Find out how you can get involved here.
Last year, Ninja Tune, Warp, !K7 and a number of other labels signed up to Music Climate Pact, a new initiative that encourages organisations within the music industry to pledge to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
