Calvin Harris to perform at Rihanna’s Diamond Ball charity event in September
It’s kicking off next month in the Big Apple...
Calvin Harris has been announced as the guest DJ at Rihanna’s third annual Diamond Ball charity event next month, set to kick off on 14th September in New York City.
The superstar DJ — who was recently crowned by business mag forbes as the world’s highest-paid selector — will be joined by Kendrick Lamar and host Dave Chappelle in aid of Rihanna’s own Clara Lionel Foundation.
“I’m ecstatic to add my longtime collaborator and friend Calvin Harris to the stellar line-up at this year’s Diamond Ball,” Rihanna said. “Calvin’s music will bring the perfect mix of energy and excitement to the evening as we celebrate the Clara Lionel Foundation.”
According to the charity’s website, the Clara Lional Foundation supports and funds “innovative and effective education and health programs around the world” — you can learn more about the charity here.
It’s not the first time Rihanna and Calvin have teamed up. They picked up two Grammys for their tune ‘We Found Love’ in 2013 and also collaborated on 2016’s ‘This Is What You Came For’.
