Carl Cox ending Global Radio show after 16 years

Oh no, oh no…

Carl Cox has revealed that he will end his Global Radio show after almost 16 years of broadcasting. He announced it will come to an end in February in a Facebook post earlier today (Monday 9th February).

Speaking about his decision to end Global Radio, Cox said, “It comes with a heavy heart to tell you that at the end of February Global Radio will come to an end after almost 16 years.

“Over the next seven weeks we have some huge shows planned so we’ll go out with a bang.”

Despite ending Global Radio, it’s already been a busy year for Cox, who came to the end of his 15-year residency at Space Ibiza last September, as the White Isle nightclub closed its doors for the last time at the end of the summer.

Cox then teased a new Ibiza night might be in the pipeline when he played his entire set at the Carl Cox & Friends party at London’s Tobacco Dock on New Year’s Day wearing a t-shirt bearing the logo “PURE CARL COX IBIZA 2017”.

On the same day a Facebook page under the name made its first post, stating simply, “Ibiza 2017... We are coming for you!”

Cox also revealed the line-up for the latest in his Pure series last month (December), which will hit Australian cities Melbourne and Sydney in April, along with new dates in Perth and Auckland, New Zealand.
