Channel 4 debuts new series about the creation of house music

The documentary features Nile Rodgers, Honey Dijon, Steve Hurley, and more.

Channel 4 has released a new mini-documentary series profiling the birth and rise of house music as a global phenomena. Entitled I Was There When House Took Over the World, the series recounts the death of disco and the first wave of underground house music.

The program was directed by Jake Sumner, who also directed Fantastic Man and The Plastic Age, and features commentary from notable disco and house pioneers such as Nile Rodgers, Honey Dijon,  and Steve Hurley. Watch in full at channel4.com.
