Chase & Status have been announced as official sponsors of London-based grassroots football club Hammersmith FC.

The duo's logo will now appear on the football kit of the men's and women's first and second teams as part of a partnership with Italian fashion brand Kappa, who produce the club's strips. Speaking about the sponsorship, the drum & bass act said it will "support a grassroots football club whose accomplishments have been huge in its short journey so far, in particular on the women's side".

The duo, real names Saul Milton and Will Kennard, both grew up close to Hammersmith FC's base in West London. They added that they hoped the partnership will allow them to build "a deeper connection with the game in a meaningful way" with the sponsorship including financial support, in addition to the appearance of their logo on the club's kits.

Hammersmith FC is one of the newest teams in the Southern Amateur Football League, having formed in 2020. The men's team is currently riding the wave of winning back-to-back titles, which took it from the third to first division in just two seasons. The women's team, which competes in the Greater London Women's Football League, has also achieved successive titles and promotions.

The new strip featuring Chase & Status' logo and designed by Kappa features added gold highlights on the sleeves of the club's traditional all-red home strip. The blue away kit also comes with newly added gold embellishments on the sleeve, as well as another pattern in a slightly darker shade of blue on the torso area.

You can see the kits in the video below.

Last year, Chase & Status linked up with Bou to release the collaborative track 'Baddadan'. Their record '2 Ruff, Vol. 1' was also named Best Album at DJ Mag's Best of British awards for 2023.
