Coachella organisers plan brand new festival in Colorado

Coming in 2018...

Coachella organisers, AEG, have partnered with Superfly, the brand behind Bonnaroo and Outside Lands, to launch a new festival across one weekend in 2018 in Colorado.

Chuck Morris, CEO of AEG Live Rocky Mountains, tells Denver-based publication Westword that he’s been sitting on the project in private since 2010.

The teams have set their sights on Denver’s Overland Park Golf Course likely because of the venue’s spacious locale and ability to host thousands of attendees.

If this location is confirmed, the festival would take place over one weekend in mid-September and end by 10pm each night. More location options are in discussion such as Westminster, Colorado which is situated about 10 miles north of Denver.

Akin to Coachella, the new Colorado-based festival will host multiple stages of both world renowned artists and local talent. Check out the news clip below for more details.
