Cosey Fanni Tutti has announced the official release of her Delia Derbyshire film soundtrack, which is due to arrive on 16th September via her own Conspiracy International label. Preview the head-spinning album track 'Psychedelic Projections' below.

Available both digitally and on vinyl, 'Delia Derbyshire: The Myths and the Legendary Tapes' collects the "audio explorations and experiments" that lead Cosey Fanni Tutti to creating the final soundtrack of the eponymous film, which was written, directed by, and stars Caroline Catz.

The documentary drama film about the life of electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire aired on BBC Four last year and also features original recordings by Derbyshire on the soundtrack. It followed the 'Sisters With Transistors' documentary of 2020, which celebrates a number of female electronic music trailblazers including Suzanne Ciani, Laurie Spiegel and Pauline Oliveros.

“The compositions are inspired by my research of the Delia Derbyshire audio archive, Delia's original compositional notes and techniques which in combination with my admiration and love of Delia’s work provided a way to integrate her style and approach to music with my own. An alliance of our sensibilities”, said Tutti.
