DAFT PUNK CLASSICS RECEIVE GOLD DISC RE-RELEASE

Art magazine Toiletpaper celebrates one million copies with a limited run of ‘Da Funk’...

Daft Punk’s 1995 classic ‘Da Funk’ is getting a gold disc re-release, limited to just 1,000 copies. ‘Teachers’ is on the flip, which also featured on their 1997 album, ‘Homework’.

The release is to celebrate Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari’s art magazine Toiletpaper selling its first million copies, with the duo creating the gold vinyl to commemerate the landmark.

The re-release of ‘Da Funk’ backed with ‘Teachers’ is out today (22nd September) exclusively via toilerpapermagazine.org, The Vinyl Factory online shop or in person at The Store, 180 The Strand, London.

It’s a double dose of Daft Punk news today too, as The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye, revealed his new collaboration with legendary French touch duo this morning.
