Dave Clarke has been involved in a serious car accident on the way back from his performance at Exit Festival in Serbia at the weekend (7th July), which resulted in him seeking medical care.
Speaking about the accident in a Facebook post on his personal account this morning, he said, “I was snoozing in the back of the car to wake up being launched into the air, hitting a lamp post, and landing on the other side of the dual carriageway. Luckily we didn’t hit another car.”
Clarke went on to describe how both parties in the vehicle were unharmed, despite it being a write-off. He subsequently had to flag a lift down to make his flight to Amsterdam Airport Schipol, before being seen by doctors and specialists in the city.
Speaking in a later post, he said, “So far so good. But I am in a lot of pain in my neck, back, chest and arms. I dread the next few days/weeks. Really angry too, livid, perhaps that is good, weeks ahead of back specialists but I am alive.”
It is currently unclear if Clarke’s upcoming dates will be affected. You can watch his performance at last year’s Amsterdam Dance Event below.
