Deadmau5 plays banging techno set under Testpilot alias at Holy Ship! Watch:

He played massive tracks from Lewis Fautzi, Cari Lekebusch and Rrose...

Deadmau5 brought his Testpilot techno alias to Holy Ship! 11.0 last Thursday January 11th for an early morning DJ set. At 9am on the ship's Manhattan Stage, Mr. Zimmerman brought his ever-exciting techno moniker to the festival's morning revelers. Now, the rest of us  can watch the whole thing on YouTube.

Bringing a set of thumping techno with tracks by Lewis Fautzi, Cari Lekebusch, Rrose and CTRLS, those who woke early (or, more realistically, stayed up) for the set were treated to a deep, dark trip. Other sets on Holy Ship's second voyage of 2018 came from the likes of The Black Madonna, Madam X, Green Velvet and DJ Mag US cover star for Jaunary 2018 Alison Wonderland. The first Holy Ship! venture of 2018 the previous week wasn't without its special moments either, with Porter Robinson dropping a surprise virtual self set.

It's nearly always a treat when Testpilot comes around, like on New Year's Eve when he rang in 2018 at Brooklyn's Depot 52 unde the moniker. It hasn't always gone quite as planned though, like in June 2017 when he was compelled to re-record his set from Movement Detroit and put it online as part of his BBC1 residency after the gig was hampered by thunderstorms and technical issues.

For more Deadmau5 news, check how excited we were to hear the previews for his brand new orchestral project for 2018. Watch the video of Testpilot's set from Holy Ship! 11.0 below.
