Deadmau5 previews vault of orchestral material: Watch

Deadmau5 has previewed his forthcoming orchestral project via a live stream featuring numerous re-works of some of his biggest tracks.

Mr. Zimmerman, who earlier this month announced that his new project would be “the most epic thing I’ve ever done with my music” and later confirmed that that would involve a 60-piece orchestra, opened the vaults on Monday night during his Twitch live stream.

These fragmented teasers of reworked versions of tracks including ‘Invidia’, ‘Avaritia’ and ‘Acedia’ follow a preview of ‘Strobe’s orchestral re-work from December. The mau5trap boss has reported that particular cut isn’t a part of the new project though.

All of this excitement comes in the wake of the Canadian DJ/producer announcing his new live show for 2018.

Blending the orchestral with the electronic has seen quite the surge lately, with Pete Tong and Haçienda Classiçal recently doing the same. The trend has been met with a degree of negativity from certain camps.
