Dengue Dengue Dengue announce new album, 'Zenit & Nadir': Watch

'Zenit & Nadir' is out via Enchufada on October 4th

Dengue Dengue Dengue have announced their new album.

The Peruvian duo will release their third album, 'Zenit & Nadir', via Enchufada on October 4th.

The album follows their 2018 EP 'Son De Los Diablos' and continues their exploration of Afro-Peruvian musical history. The album finds the pair utilising traditional rhythmic styles like landó, festejo and crioullo, and making use of traditional instruments such as the quijada, a percussive instrument made out of a donkey's jawbone.

"We like to think that there is a sort of dark, mysterious and mystic sound that is constant in every record," Dengue Dengue Dengue say of the album in an official press release. "The difference between each record is the fusion of two or more ideas that we are exploring at the time."

Peruvian DJ, producer and Arista Festival founder Valicha teams up with Colombia’s feminist collective NÓTT on a new compilation EP, out 11th July.
