Detroit's BEIGE releases new mixtape, 'AMEN! Vol.1', on T4T LUV NRG: Listen
It's the third mixtape to be released on Eris Drew and Octo Octa's label
The next release on Eris Drew and Octo Octa's T4T LUV NRG label is a DJ mixtape from Detroit-based DeeJay BEIGE.
Out now, the tape, titled 'AMEN! Vol. 1', is the third mixtape to be released through T4T LUV NRG, following on from Eris Drew's 'Raving Disco Breaks' and Octo Octa's 'Love Hypnosis'.
The mix, which is split across two tape sides, is said to present a sound "that is very personal and deeply connected" to BEIGE's history. It covers both breaks and gospel house.
BEIGE has emerged from the US' Midwest and East Coast party circuit, much like Eris Drew and Octo Octa. They host a monthly radio show on New York's The Lot radio station from their home base of Detroit, called Chaotic Neutral. They also organise educational workshops for DJs of marginalised genders as part of Seraphine Collective.
