DIPLO TEASES ARIANA GRANDE COLLABORATION, CONFIRMS MAJOR LAZER DON’T USE HYPNOSIS

It seems a joke got slightly out of hand...

Diplo has revealed that he has been working in the studio with Ariana Grande, on a post through his Snapchat. You can watch a video of it shared on Twitter below.

There is no confirmation as to whether the material will feature on Major Lazer’s forthcoming ‘Music Is The Weapon’ album, which is due in January, or Grande’s solo record.

Earlier this week it was also widely reported that Major Lazer use group therapy and hypnosis to deal with the stresses of celebrity stardom, following a recent interview. But Diplo has now tweeted an image of a number of publications running the story with the caption, “when you joke during an interview,” confirming he was trolling all involved.

It’s been a big year for Diplo too, who was voted No. 20 in last year’s DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll, as his ‘Jack Ü’ album was certified gold in June. He also announced that there’s new music coming from that Skrillex collaboration on Instagram in May, before deleting the post shortly after.

That was all before Diplo revealed his disdain for DJ culture in a new interview, saying it’s “corny” and that he’s “sad” to be a part of it. In the interview with Billboard, the Major Lazer producer didn’t hold back when  quizzed on the state of dance music. He said, “The DJ world is the corniest fucking group of people. We're not famous for any good reason. We're just really lame.” Earlier this year it was also revealed that Diplo and his Jack Ü partner Skrillex hate croutons.
