Disclosure's Guy Lawrence and Sam Smith cover Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love': Listen

A fresh take on the 1977 classic

Donna Summer's iconic disco hit, 'I Feel Love', has been given a 2019 update.

Re-imagined by Guy Lawrence, who makes up one half of house duo Disclosure, and British artist Sam Smith, the frequent collaborators have come together for a modern take on the integral 1977 track.

After first working together in 2012, the pair have released the cover as part of Target’s upcoming Christmas charity campaign, and the track is out now alongside a visualiser. Taking to Twitter to speak on Summer's legacy, Smith shared “As a queer person, ‘I Feel Love’ has followed me to every dance floor in every queer space from the minute I started clubbing,”

“This song to me is an anthem of our community," they continued. "and it was an honour and most importantly so much fun to have a go at it.”

In August, Howard Lawrence from Disclosure shared that they had written "over 100 songs" while working on their new album.
