DJ Koze announces new EP, ‘Wespennest’, shares title track featuring Sophia Kennedy: Listen
Inspired by Benedictine monks living on an Indonesian island
DJ Koze has announced a new EP, 'Wespennest', which is due to land on 28th July via Pampa Records. You can listen to the title track, which features Sophia Kennedy, below.
The release is inspired, in part at least, by time spent staying in a secluded Benedictine monastery on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, just east of Borneo. Both 'Wespennest' and B-side 'Candidasa' were heavily influenced by the setting.
This is the first taste of new material from Koze since 2018's 'Pick Up', and arrives ahead of a full album slated for 2024. His remix and studio work has featured on several high profile releases in recent years for artists such as Annie Mac, Peggy Gou, and Solomun, with Róisín Murphy drafting him as producer for her latest LP, 'Hit Parade'.
