DJ MAG'S WORK BAR TO HOST 24-HOUR DJ MARATHON IN SUPPORT OF OXJAM

Basement Jaxx, Simian Mobile Disco, B. Traits...

A 24-hour DJ marathon, featuring the likes of  Basement Jaxx, Rob da Bank, Secretsundaze and Horse Meat Disco, will be taking place as part of Oxfam’s Oxjam Music Festival next week — and DJ Mag is on board to help out!

We'll be hosting an exclusive stream live and direct for 24 hours from our basement rave cave and cocktail bar, Work Bar in Islington, with the party set to kick off from 1pm on Wednesday 12th October running 'til 1pm on Thursday 13th October.

The full line-up extends to indie heroes Django Django and Friendly Fires, UK garage stalwart Matt Jam Lamont, D&B dons Fabio and Grooverider, and disco-house mainstays Crazy P. Techno mavericks Simian Mobile Disco, Bristol house crew Eton Messy, party bro duo Krankbrother and post-disco upstarts Kiwi and Medlar ensure fans can expect to hear a diverse selection of styles and genres.

Other acts joining include early-rising favourites Morning Gloryville, hosting a three-hour takeover on Thursday 13 October, alongside Loose Cannons and Krystal Roxx.

On the event, Oxjam's event manager Sandy Trappitt, has said: “Sitting in the middle of the month-long festival, we hope the 24-Hour DJ Marathon will get Oxjam on every music fan’s agenda. We urge people to take part in next weekend’s multi-venue takeover events happening in dozens of towns and cities around the UK. It’s a great way to support Oxfam’s work to fight global poverty.”

Since the charity event brand launched 10 years ago, Oxjam has raised enough money to supply fresh water to 2.8 million people.
