Dr Dre celebrates ‘The Chronic’ 30th anniversary with limited-edition collectibles

Featuring “exclusive drops throughout the year that pay homage to the legendary work of Dr Dre"

The Chronic

Dr Dre is set to celebrate ‘The Chronic’ 30th anniversary with a series of limited-edition collectibles.

Originally released in 1992 on Interscope and Death Row, landmark G-funk LP 'The Chronic' featured early appearances from Snoop Dogg and marked Dre’s first solo release after parting ways with N.W.A. A vinyl reissue of 'The Chronic' came out in April this year.

Available to buy from 1st June, ‘The Chronic Masters’ is described by Interscope as "a slow-burn series of limited-edition releases honouring the timeless legacy of this classic.” The series will feature “exclusive drops throughout the year that pay homage to the legendary work of Dr Dre.”

The first drop comprises session tapes fine-art prints (photographed by Jeremy Deputat), 'The Session Tapes’ 1:1 replica set, the Session Tapes Oversized Replicas, and four exclusive skate decks.

Last year, Dr. Dre announced deals with Universal Music Group (UMG) and investment firm Shamrock Capital to sell multiple music assets and other sources of income.
