The Drum and Bass Awards is now in its 10th year and to celebrate the organisers have moved the awards to a summer date (30th July) and have found a new home: Building 6 (the O2 dome).
The venue – which was previously Matter and Proud 2 – has played host to D&B brands like One Nation, RAM, Hospitality, Breaking Science and Innovation — it's the perfect venue for this year's awards.
The purpose-built venue occupies a 33,000sq ft space within The O2 dome. Spread across three levels, it comprises of four bars, three dance floors, two entertainment rooms, two mezzanine levels and a VIP bar.
The main room's dance floor features 80 mechanical transducers, which take the low-frequency content of the music and radiate it as pure vibration energy directly through the audience's bodies. PHEW!
Voting has already begun across the 27 categories – which include Best DJ, Best MC and Best Festival – and the line-up is set to drop on 24th March.
