Dubfire documentary, 'Above Ground Level', set to debut at Miami Film Festival

It’s a tell-all film about Dubfire’s background...

Dubfire will debut his documentary, ‘Above Ground Level’, during Miami Film Festival in March.

At the start of the 1979 Iranian Revolution and subsequent Iran-Iraq War, Ali Shirazinia, commonly known as Dubfire, and his family relocated from Iran to the States where his passion for music blossomed.

The film follows Ali's musical journey from performing in local clubs in Washington, D.C. to becoming one of the top DJ/producers in the world. The doc features interviews from family, childhood friends and fellow artists including Carl Cox, David Guetta, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler and more.

The documentary also takes an intimate glimpse inside the fast-paced world of dance music.

Regarding the film, Dubfire tells Inc., "I hope that my story is an inspiring story for others who dream of a career in music and success along the way. For me personally, winning the Grammy was validation that the American dream is real. That through hard work and sacrifice, your efforts don't go unnoticed by your peers."
