EDC Las Vegas announces date change and first-ever camping options

Arriving May 2018...

EDC Las Vegas will remain at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for its 22nd installment. However, the three-day event will be taking place nearly one month sooner and the festival footprint has been expanded to include on-site camping options.

Instead of its standard Father’s Day Weekend run, the 2018 edition of EDC Las Vegas will occur Friday 18th May through Sunday 20th May.

For the first time ever, EDC will offer a “fully immersive camping program” conveniently situated right next to the Speedway. Amenities include: air-continued GA and Premier tents, a general store, RV hook-ups, and available RV rentals. A press release also mentions: “A neighboring area will allow for the creation of Sound Camps where Headliners can build out their own themed environments. How very ‘Burning Man’ of you, Mr. Rotella.

The camping option hopes to alleviate one continual EDC issue: vehicle congestion to and from the Speedway.

There are two additional firsts in 2018  as well. The cosmicMEADOW lawn will host opening ceremonies before the gates officially open each day in 2018; giving fans a chance to catch extended sets and cool down before the festivities begin.

Additionally, Insomniac has decided to entrust its 2018 shuttle program with a third-party that operates the nation’s largest music and sporting events.

Early Owl three-day general admission passes start at $325 ($US). VIP passes start at $699 ($US). Later tiers range from $340 to $355 ($US) before all taxes and fees. Affordable layaway options to be announced shortly.

Tickets are on sale beginning Thursday 28th September at noon PST at EDCLasVegas.com.

More news on EDC 2018 anticipated shortly.
