FaltyDL has announced a new album, 'A Nurse To My Patience', which will land on 11th November via Blueberry Records. Listen to the first single, 'Four Horses', below.

'Four Horses' features the experimental electronic composer and vocalist Julianna Barwick. The track addresses the subject of dealing with one's own mortality, and comes with a video directed by Gabin Rudin, in which FaltyDL, AKA New England producer and DJ Drew Lustman, is depicted at various stages in a career as a magician.

The single marks a change in direction for FaltyDL's music, with the album featuring the first tracks the artist has penned lyrics for and sung on.

“I fell back in love with song writing on ‘Four Horses' and feel absolutely blessed to have Julianna Barwick echo my sentiments. I have been a fan of hers for years and this was truly a dream. I often feel restless and unfulfilled, and this song is me emptying these thoughts, concerns, and traumas across 2.44," said Lustman.

“My last album ‘Heaven Is for Quitters’ was a mountain I had to climb, and when I reached the top, I realised I wasn’t all that happy,” he continued, admitting that in 2017 there was a period in which he came close to quitting dance music due to the repetitive pattern of production as a means to promote and secure bookings. “I knew I needed to be honest with myself and what I wanted to present to the world.”

In addition to the Barwick collaboration, 'A Nurse To My Patience' features several other significant guests, including Paul Banks of Interpol, Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, and Mykki Blanco, with whom Lustman worked with in several writing sessions.

In April he delivered a remix of Maddy Maia & Tottie’s track, ‘Spirit’.
