Fatboy Slim is releasing a boxset to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the infamous Big Beach Boutique party.

On 13th July 2002, more than 250,000 ravers — twice the size of Brighton's population — gathered on the beachfront for the free event to watch Fatboy Slim, in what was described as the “biggest event the UK has ever seen”.

Now, two decades later, the DJ and producer — real name Norman Cook — presents 'Right Here, Right Then': a boxset comprising of multiple recordings of the original set, a brand new DJ mix, a DVD of the original concert, a 48-page,12” book with exclusive photos and a foreword penned by Cook, and much more.

Reminiscing on the landmark event, Cook said: "I think I was too stressed on the day about crowd safety to really take it all in, to fully enjoy the experience. Now I feel I can look back at the footage, remember the tunes, that sunset, my home seafront looking like a carnival in Brazil, so many beautiful people having the time of their lives, I have never seen such joyous madness, such good natured abandon...A wise man once described me as ‘a shepherd of moments’”

‘Right Here, Right Then’ will be released on 2nd September on BMG and is available to pre-order now.

In May this year, Fatboy Slim announced a new festival in Somserset with a line-up featuring Groove Armada, DJ Paulette and the actor-turned-DJ Idris Elba, as well as Jodie Harsh, Dance System, Horse Meat Disco, Flava D, Raw Silk, Bklava, Syreeta, and more.
