Fatboy Slim plays Greta Thunberg ‘Right Here, Right Now’ mash-up: Watch

The moment was caught during a recent gig

Fatboy Slim has incorporated a recording of Greta Thunberg's recent speech on climate change to the UN into his live show.

Footage, which you can see below, captured at his show in Gateshead on Friday, October 4th shows him cutting parts of the activitist's speech into the breakdown of his track 'Right Here, Right Now'.

"People are dying," Thunberg says in the sampled speech. "Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction. And all you can talk about is money. You are failing us, and the young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you.

“We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line. The world is waking up. And change is coming, whether you like it or not.”

The original idea for the mash-up came from musician David Scott who shared his own version online last month, with Fatboy Slim going on to share it himself.

The footage below of the moment was captured by Scott Jackson who was at the show.

Earlier this summer, Fatboy Slim said that he may never release any new music again. He also recently soundtracked a silent film called 'Ibiza - The Movie'.
