Floating record store, Rubber Ducky Records, reopens after sinking

Rubber Ducky Records, the record shop based on a canal boat docked in the north of England, has reopened after sinking earlier this year.
Founder Myles Greenwood shared the news of the boat-based store's reopening this month, adding that record collectors could now start booking appointments to peruse the records on board once again. Greenwood had launched a GoFundMe campaign in the wake of the boat's sinking, which happened in April, and raised £10,000 to help restore the boat and replenish some stock.
"I'm so unbelievably thankful for all the support and generosity since the sinking," a post shared by Greenwood this month read. "Whether it was a message, a GoFundMe donation or a hug, thank you so so much. Humanity really is incredible."
Rubber Ducky Records initially opened in October of 2022, before temporarily closing due to the sinking in April. It's docked in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire.
