Get Lost’s 24-hour Miami party ‘postponed’ amid Coronavirus concerns

The event was due to celebrate its 15th anniversary

Get Lost Miami has taken the decision to postpone its 24-hour party, after the Florida district of Hialeah placed a ban on all public gatherings in the wake of coronavirus fears.

2020 was due to be Get Lost's 15-year anniversary, with a number of special celebrations planned for the milestone.

Get Lost boss Damian Lazarus posted on Instagram, writing: "This has been one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make during my 20 or so years of creating parties, I am truly heartbroken. So much effort has already been put into this event by the team, to mark the 15th birthday of Get Lost, and we had planned something incredible."

This year’s edition was set to feature a wide array of renowned artists including Carl Craig, Art Department, Hernan Cattaneo, Hot Since 82, and Damian Lazarus among others.

Everyone who purchased tickets has been promised a full refund.

The news comes after a string of major music events have been cancelled due to the spread of COVID-19, including SXSWMiami's UltraTomorrowland Winter in France and Beat Hotel Morrocco, while there are growing concerns that Coachella may be called off.

The UK Government continues to believe that large gatherings and events should go ahead, with the Bangface Weekender - one of our top club recommendations for this month - set to happen as usual.
