Piri, Bklava, and Ewan McVicar are confirmed as guests

Girls Don't Sync Amazon Music Dance UK Weekend Warm Up

DJ collective Girls Don't Sync have announced a new series set to broadcast on Amazon Music UK's Twitch channel.

'Dance UK Weekend Warm Up' will comprise eight episodes aired on bi-weekly Fridays at 6PM, with the first on 24th March. Guests for the debut edition will be Piri, AKA Sophie McBurnie, of drum & bass duo Piri & Tommy, alongside genre-melding artist Bklava.

The new show is an extension of the existing Amazon Music Dance UK playlist, which launched in October last year. It's aim is to celebrate the cultural and musical diversity in British electronic music. Going forward, venbee, Nathan Dawe, and Jodie Harsh are all set to appear in the Twitch series. Ewan McVicar has also been confirmed for one of the forthcoming episodes.

Last year, Girls Don't Sync — Matty Chiabi, G33, Sophia Violet and Hannah Lynch — walked away with the Breakthrough DJ gong at DJ Mag's Best of British Awards for their high energy bass, garage, and house club sets, and commitment to raising female representation in the scene.

"We are honoured to team up with Amazon Music to celebrate and represent the UK dance scene, we are so grateful to be part of a culture that gives us a new sense of community and a feeling of freedom within the rave," Girls Don't Sync said in a statement.

"We have some very special guests lined up throughout the series, artists that we love and respect in dance music and we are super excited to share this experience with an audience! The show will give an insight into our relationship as a group as well as our individual personalities, but ultimately you can expect the usual GDS energy, we want our audience to have fun and engage with us like they do at our DJ sets."
