Glastonbury 2020 sells out in 34 minutes
Approximately 2.4 million people had signed up to get a ticket
It's no secret that trying to get hold of Glastonbury tickets is no small feat with sell-out times edging further forward year-on-year.
Ticket sales for 2020 went online early on Sunday, October 6th and sold out in just 34 minutes. Coach packages, which went on sale last Thursday, October 3rd also disappeared in record time.
It's no surprise that so many people have been left disappointed without tickets however, with the festival confirming that approximately 2.4 million people had signed up to get their hands on tickets. Almost 200,000 were on sale.
All hope is not lost however, with Glastonbury confirming in a tweet that there will be a ticket resale in April from those who do not pay up beyond their deposit. A further 50 pairs have been set aside for a special ballot, with the festival set to announce full details on how that will play out in the coming days. You can see the tweet below.
No acts have yet been confirmed to play Glastonbury 2020.
The festival was recently given permission to increase its capacity by 10,00 people. 2020's edition of the festival marks its 50th year, which Glastonbury is celebrating with a book.
Tickets for Glastonbury 2020 have now Sold Out. Thank you to everyone who bought one, and sorry to those who missed out. There will be a ticket resale in April - plus we'll be announcing details of a special ballot for the sale of 50 pairs of tickets in the coming days.
