Glastonbury donates hand sanitiser, masks and gloves to emergency services

The supplies were due to be used at this year's cancelled festival

Glastonbury Festival has donated hand sanitiser, masks and gloves to emergency services.

The 50th anniversary edition of the festival, which was due to take place from the 24th - 28th June this year, was cancelled earlier this month amid the ongoing coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic.

Following the cancellation, Avon & Somerset Police shared that Glastonbury Festival had donated thousands of litres of hand sanitiser, medical-grade masks, and gloves to frontline emergency service workers & NHS staff.

The BBC also recently announced they would be broadcasting a "celebration of Glastonbury" in June following the cancellation.
