Gorillaz' Damon Albarn shares piano tribute to De La Soul’s Trugoy the Dove: Watch
De La Soul previously collaborated with Albarn on the animated band's 2005 single 'Feel Good Inc'
Damon Albarn has shared a piano tribute to the late De La Soul artist Trugoy the Dove. Watch the video below.
The Gorillaz bandleader posted a clip to his Instagram yesterday, 13th February, of a short piano piece with the caption, "A loop for Dave. I love you". News of the death of De La Soul founding member David Jude Jolicoeur, better known as Trugoy the Dove, broke this past weekend, after a representative for the trio confirmed to the press.
Joliocoeur collaborated with Gorillaz on the animated group's 2005 breakout single 'Feel Good Inc'. De La Soul also features on 'Crocadillaz', a bonus track on Japanese CD and international digital releases of Gorillaz' upcoming album, 'Cracker Island', out 24th February.
