HAÇIENDA CLASSIÇAL DOCUMENTARY TO AIR ON CHANNEL 4

It features Mike Pickering, Graeme Park, Peter Hook, Bez, Rowetta and many more...

Haçienda Classiçal’s 2016 tour and recording is the subject of a brand new documentary, which is set to air on Channel 4 in the early hours of Friday (21st October) morning. You can watch a teaser for it below.

Taking in Haçienda Classiçal’s rehearsals, the original Bridgewater Hall concerts in February, the Royal Albert Hall show, the subsequent studio recording and the Manchester return at Castlefield Bowl this summer, the documentary features appearances from Mike Pickering, Graeme Park, Peter Hook, Bez, Rowetta, the Manchester Camerata and many more involved.

Speaking at a press conference for the documentary in London, executive producer and founder of New Order and Joy Division, Peter Hook, said, “The Haçienda was grounded in idealism, as was this. Haçienda House Orchestra is one of the most challenging journeys I’ve ever undertaken in my musical career, both the live shows and putting the album together.  But now looking back and listening to the recording, all the hard work has paid off.”

Produced by Carm Music and directed by Chris Cowey, the Haçienda Classiçal documentary airs at 12:05am on Friday 21st October. The ‘Haçienda Classiçal’ album is released on the same day through Sony Classical.
