HI5 GHOST STEPS OUT ON BOOFY & LEMZLY DALE’S SECTOR 7 SOUND

We’re premiering this Bristol grime cut

Anyone who’s got a faint interest in the Bristol bass scene will no doubt be familiar with the Bandulu gang. Kahn and Neek’s vinyl-only label (which just launched an online record/merch store, btw) has charted releases from the pair of them, Breen, Gemmy, Boofy and Hi5 Ghost.

The Bristol producer’s ‘Kung Fu Kick’ was hailed as one of the best grime tracks of 2014, and now he’s back, this time on Boofy’s (also vinyl-only) imprint, Sector 7 Sound. ‘Nook Shot’, already being spun by the likes of Slimzee on NTS, emerges as a lurching beast with an epic flute line backed by the groans of some characteristically dark bass.

With a refix by Deep Medi mainstay Commodo on the flip, it’s an essential bit of grimy wax to add to your collection.

Sector 7 Sound release the 12" on November 1st.
